Due to expansion, we are currently seeking a full-time experienced Marine Installation Technician/Rigger. Experience in Marine Mechanics, Automotive electrics, or other electrical/mechanical installation will be considered. A great attitude is a must and product-specific training will be provided to the right candidate.

With over 30 years in the Marine Industry and some of the most reputable brands including Yamaha, Buccaneer, AB inflatables, Brig and Southern Boats, endless opportunities to further your skills amongst a supportive team exist.

Role responsibilities include:

• Installation of outboard and inboard engines/drives (primarily Yamaha outboard)
• Installation, testing and repair of marine electrical systems and electronics
• Installation and testing of fresh water and sanitary systems
• Minor gelcoat and aesthetic repairs
• Performing mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnosis as and when required to assist the workshop team (training provided)
• Working in conjunction with the Upholstery, Workshop and Grooming teams/contractors to effectively manage the timely delivery of new and used boats
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment including meeting and exceeding Health and Safety requirements
• Being flexible to complete other tasks as required by Workshop/Management
• Assisting in the movement of Boats within the yard and between contractors, clients and ramp facilities
• Assisting in demonstration/seatest of newly rigged/repowered boats where necessary to help the sales and workshop team

Requirements include:

• A clean NZ drivers licence
• A mechanical/electrical aptitude with a desire to learn and upskill
• A can do attitude and pride in your work
• A friendly, team orientated attitude and a sense of humour
